1913-04-14 (158lbs) Jack Dillon nd-w pts 12 George Chip, Moose Hall Auditorium, Youngstown, Ohio, USA. Referee: Walter Kelley. Made at 158lbs and a defence for Dillon at this weight, he was again too good for Chip, his left being in evidence throughout the fight as well as his cleverness in avoiding blows. As the fight moved on, Dillon drew further ahead and the last two sessions were hugely exciting as the men looked to finish inside the distance. Both were staggered in the 12th as they wound up their punches, but it was Chip who came off worse and if there had been a round or so left he would have had difficulty in getting through still standing.
