1913-04-23 (142lbs) Ray Bronson nd-w pts 10 Hilliard Lang, Tomlinson Hall, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Made at 142lbs, with both inside, the Indianapolis News reported that Bronson proved himself to be the ‘real’ claimant in this one after decidedly getting the better of Lang in a return. There were no knockdowns, but Lang appeared all in at the final bell while Bronson looked like he could fight another ten rounds. Once Bronson had worked out how to deal with Lang’s early body attacks he stood at distance, jabbing, hammering and swinging at his rival almost at will according to press reports.
