24 June (118lbs) Eddie Campi w pts 20 Charles Ledoux, Vernon Arena, Los Angeles, California, USA. Referee: Charles Eyton. Although not a billed title fight as such, with both men inside 118lbs Campi had every right to Ledoux’s version of the championship on the result. While Campi had been an easy winner, with Ledoux having no chance after the ninth, despite giving the Frenchman a bad beating he had never once looked like knocking his man out.
