1913-09-09 Sam Langford nd-w co 1 (10) John Lester Johnson, Atlantic Gardens AC, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA. Defending his ‘black’ title claim, Langford soon had Johnson in trouble and after sending in some heavy body shots the latter was put down for ‘eight’. Back up on his feet, Johnson was quickly dropped from another vicious punch to the midsection and it was all over after just 32 seconds.
