1913-11-27 (142lbs) Mike Glover nd-w pts 10 Jack Britton, Irving AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Although Britton (134¾) was really considered to be a lightweight, Glover (137¼) put his 142lbs title claim on the line in this one, and following a close bout the press just about gave him the honours. Britton had started like a whirlwind before Glover came back strongly to even matters up in the closing stages, his best punch being a heavy right to the jaw that sent the lighter man reeling on the ropes during the seventh.
