1913-11-27 (160lbs) Jack Dillon w pts 12 Sailor Ed Petroskey, Holland Arena, Butte, Montana, USA. With the weight set at 160lbs, the recognised middles limit in Montana at the time, the Anaconda Standard reported that both men were actually inside 158lbs. Showing dazzling speed and power, Dillon gave Petroskey a terrible going over but was unable to knock his man out despite having him down in the eighth following a terrific volley of rights and lefts. There was never any doubt that Dillon would win, as he was hardly extended. However, although he tried to drop Petroskey, ultimately lacking the ammunition required, he had to settle for the points win.
