1914-01-01 (165lbs) Bob Moha nd-w co 5 (10) Freddie Hicks, Irving AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Made at 165lbs, Moha (163½) put his claim on the line against Hicks (165), who hardly got a look in. Having got well on top by the fifth round, Moha showered Hicks with lefts and rights to the head that ended with the latter taking a count of ‘9’. Back on his feet, but in a dazed condition, Hicks was taken out completely following a terrific right to the jaw. Moha’s next contest was against Jack Fitzgerald (w pts 15 on 7 January at the Marieville AC, Providence, Rhode Island), but with limited information it is difficult to assess whether his claim was at stake.
