1914-02-12 (158lbs) Jimmy Clabby w pts 20 Sailor Ed Petroskey, Vernon Arena, Los Angeles, California, USA. Made at 158lbs, 10am weigh-in, the fight had first been booked for January but had been cancelled after an appendicitis scare for Petroskey. Right from the start, Clabby proved to be fast and clever, landing punches all over Petroskey at the rate of ten to one during the opening five rounds. Although Petroskey came back with some good blows of his own, especially to the body as Clabby tired, the last five sessions saw the latter all over his man, beating him to the punch and cutting him on the right eye in the 19th. However, he was unable to knock him over.
