1914-05-08 (158lbs) Al McCoy nd-w co 1 (10) George Pearsall, New City AC, Roodner’s Hall, South Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. Reported in the Norwalk Hour as being a 158lbs title fight, with both men making the agreed weight, Pearsall was knocked down in the first few seconds only to be dropped again by a cracking left to the jaw, this time for the full count. It was recognised as being one of the quickest finishes of all time.
