1914-10-19 (158lbs) [[Al McCoy]] nd-l pts 10 [[Willie KO Brennan]], Broadway Auditorium, Buffalo, New York, USA. Made at 158lbs, McCoy (158) had a hard time of it against Brennan (157) and was outslugged in seven of the ten rounds according to press reports. Keeping an eye on the southpaw left that had flattened [[George Chip]], Brennan found the perfect antidote when McCoy was getting set to drop in the left by jumping in with lefts of his own. McCoy was always dangerous and Brennan was shaken up in the fourth and eighth before hanging for the last two rounds to make sure of the press decision.
