1915-04-28 (158lbs) Jimmy Clabby nd-l pts 10 George Chip, The Armory, Marinette, Wisconsin, USA. The Marinette Eagle Star reported that Clabby was defending his 158lbs title claim in this one. Clabby started well with his clever boxing at the forefront, but after a few even rounds the last four went to Chip, who proved to be a master at close quarters. Although Clabby’s excellent footwork and general movement made Chip look like a prelim boy at times he could not sustain his energy levels for the full ten rounds and had to protect his chin in the last few sessions as the latter went all out for a knockout.
