1915-06-12 (160lbs) Les Darcy w rtd 10 (20) Mick King, Baker’s Stadium, Sydney, Australia. Referee: Harold Baker. Making his first defence of the Australian version of the world 160lbs title, Darcy (159) was far too strong for King (159) and right from the opening bell he was all over his rival like a rash. Despite showing much cleverness, King could not hold Darcy up and for round after round he was subjected to a fierce hammering, both to the head and body from either hand. It could not on and in the tenth round, with King on the verge of being knocked out, the police told the referee to halt the contest.
