1915-06-12 (160lbs) Les Darcy w rtd 10 (20) Mick King, Baker’s Stadium, Sydney, Australia. Referee: Harold Baker. Making his first defence of the Australian version of the world 160lbs title Darcy (159) was far too strong for King (159), being all over his rival like a rash right from the opening bell. Despite showing much cleverness, King was subjected to a fierce hammering, both to the head and body from either hand. It could not go on like this, and with King on the verge of being knocked out in the tenth round his corner threw the towel in. The finish, timed at 20 seconds, came just as the police were ready to pounce.
