1915-10-09 (160lbs) Les Darcy w rtd 6 (20) Fred Dyer, Baker’s Stadium, Sydney, Australia. Referee: Harold Baker. Defending the Australian version of the 160lbs title, Darcy (159¼) had a big pull in the weights over Dyer (150) for this one, which soon became painfully obvious when the latter was unable to do much other than run for cover or clinch. With Dyer always playing second fiddle, in the sixth round when on the verge of being knocked out his seconds threw the towel in. At that stage of the fight, the police were already asking the referee to call a halt to proceedings.
