1915-11-25 (160lbs) Young Ahearn nd-w pts 10 Emmett Kid Wagner, Clermont Rink, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Ahearn (156½) risked his title claim when allowing Wagner to weigh in at 160lbs, but he never appeared to be in any danger, jabbing, uppercutting and countering his rival throughout. While Wagner was in the fight during the early sessions, showing a good defence and a propensity to swing in the left to head and body, as the rounds went by Ahearn found the target more often than not and was an easy winner of the press verdict.
