1916-02-07 (118lbs) Kid Williams drew 20 Pete Herman, Louisiana Auditorium, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Referee: Billy Rocap. Billed for the 118lbs world title, Williams took the fight to Herman, but although working the body well he failed to discourage the latter for too long. Having staggered Williams in the eighth Herman was himself on unsteady legs at the end of the 11th, and the last two sessions saw both men going for the kayo without success.
