1916-03-01 (142lbs) Ted Kid Lewis w pts 20 Harry Stone, Burns’ Arena, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Referee: Dick Burke. Postponed from 28 February due to heavy rain, and with both men articled to make 142lbs at 3pm, Lewis (142) forced the fight in at least 13 of the rounds to win going away. Stone (l39) was game enough, but was never in with a shout, the last four sessions seeing Lewis at his very best. There were no knockdowns.
