1916-10-10 Jack Dillon nd-w co 2 Sailor Grande, Broadway SC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA – USA. Making all of the running from the opening bell, Dillon (172) clearly showed his intent when forcing Grande (172½) to the ropes with solid lefts and rights. In the second round it was much of the same and after attacking Grande with vicious body shots he put his man down for the full count following a left uppercut to the body and an overarm right to the jaw.
