1919-07-19 From hereon all title bouts would be contested at 118lbs. On this date, Memphis Pal Moore, who was claiming the 116lbs title, was defeated at that weight by the world flyweight champion, Jimmy Wilde. With 116lbs not recognised in England as a championship weight and Wilde not interested in pursuing a claim the weight class disappeared.
