1928-07-23 Frankie Genaro drew 10 Steve Rocco, The Coliseum, Toronto, Canada - NBA. Referee: Elwood Hughes. Rocco (111), a nine-fight pro who was cut over right eye in the first, fought fiercely to hold Genaro (111) to a draw in an extremely aggressive contest in which none of the three judges could agree with each other. The challenger was the stronger of the two, but Genaro boxed well off the back foot, picking his punches to perfection, especially in the first half of the contest. Although by far the better boxer of the two, when Genaro was cut over the right eye in the eighth he had to survive a grandstand finish by the tough little Canadian, who clearly took the latter part of the fight to earn a share of the verdict.
