1928-12-14 Frankie Genaro w disq 2 (10) Steve Rocco, Olympia, Detroit, Michigan, USA - NBA. Referee: Elmer McClelland. A return match, the contest started with both men concentrating on the body before Rocco (110) put Genaro (110¾) down in the second session with a punch that few saw. Thinking that the title had changed hands, there was much jubilation amongst the little Canadian’s fans. However, after Genaro was carried back to his corner and examined by the ringside doctor, it was clear to him that the punch had been struck low and Rocco was disqualified on the 1.05 mark.
