1930-05-16 Midget Wolgast w rtd 5 (15) Willie LaMorte, Madison Square Garden, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA - NY. Referee: Jim Crowley. Making his first defence, Wolgast (110½) proved to be one of the fastest little men New York had seen since Pancho Villa. With Wolgast well on his way to what looked to be an easy victory, after collapsing at the end of the fifth round LaMorte (112)was forced to retire from what turned out to be a spasm of the heart.
