1930-05-16 Midget Wolgast w rtd 5 (15) Willie LaMorte, Madison Square Garden, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA - NY. Referee: Jim Crowley. Making his first defence, Wolgast (110½) proved to be one of the fastest little men New York had seen since Pancho Villa and looked to be heading for an easy victory when LaMorte (112) collapsed at the end of the fifth round, being forced to retire from what turned out to be a spasm of the heart.
