As ever, Berg (136) just got on with defending the title wherever the money was. Starting like a train, he sailed into Glick (139) from the opening bell with a two-fisted attack and although the latter met the champion’s rushes on even ground in the first round the American soon began to be overwhelmed by his old rival. Pushed back round after round, Glick often held on for dear life at times after being hit by an assortment of solid blows and, unable to cope with Berg’s stamina, went down on points.
