1931-07-13 Midget Wolgast w pts 15 Ruby Bradley, Coney Island Stadium, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA - NY. Referee: Danny Ridge. In taking all 15 rounds off Bradley (110½) to pick up the unanimous decision, it proved to be a competitive workout for Wolgast (111½), who although winning easily once again showed his lack of punch power. Allowed to stay in the fight, the challenger did his best, but had no idea of how to defend himself on the inside against Wolgast, whose bounding-in style with the left jab before jumping quickly back out of range mesmerised him. Despite not defending the NYSAC version of the championship again and competing in the bantamweight ranks from thereon, Wolgast continued to be recognised by the NYSAC as the flyweight champion right up to his defeat at the hands of Small Montana in September 1935.
