1932-04-26 Gorilla Jones w pts 12 Young Terry, The Armory, Trenton, New Jersey, USA - NBA. Referee: Hank Lewis. Making an excellent start, Terry (158) was the early aggressor in a fast and furious affair before weakening badly after the eighth and seeing his lead dwindle as Jones (151) came on like a train. Well down on the cards at this point, Jones, who ultimately picked up the decision, began to pile up the points with hard rights to head and body that doubled the challenger up and had him hanging on in front of a large crowd who had come to cheer him. The decision, a unanimous one, showed Jones winning by six rounds to four with two even.
