1933-12-05 Rodolfo Casanova w pts 10 Speedy Dado, Olympic Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, USA - CALIFORNIA. Referee: George Blake. Contested for the Californian version of the title, Casanova (118), a southpaw, took the referee’s decision when finishing strongly to win the last four rounds handily, poking away with the jab as he pleased. Although well beaten, Dado (117¾), who took the first, second, fifth and sixth rounds on the referee’s scorecard, was always a danger with his gameness, but was generally outpunched.
