1937-01-01 Henry Armstrong w co 3 (10) Rodolfo Casanova, City Bullring, Mexico City, Mexico - MEXICO/CALIFORNIA. Referee: Mr Carrives. Despite making a good start and rocking Armstrong (125½) a couple of times with hard rights to the body in the opening session, Casanova (125) remained puzzled by his opponent’s shifty offensive and looked open to countering attacks. Casanova again drove Armstrong around the ring in the second with two-fisted assaults, but by the third Armstrong was beginning to get to him with heavy punches from both hands. With Armstrong right on top halfway through the round the Mexican was counted out after left-right smashes to the jaw had dropped him heavily.
