Many fans thought that Belloise had won clearly due to him taking many of the sessions by overwhelming margins, but under NYSAC Rules which determined the winner on a round by round basis it was clear that Overlin just about deserved the nod. However, such a fuss was stirred up that the pair were immediately re-matched.
