1941-02-21 Little Dado w pts 10 Jackie Jurich, Civic Auditorium, Honolulu, Hawaii - NBA. Referee: Dick Chang. In what was billed as the Islands’ first title fight, Dado (111½), maintaining a terrific pace from start to finish, put Jurich (110¼) down six times in all. Having received the unanimous decision, Dado was rated by The Ring magazine as the best flyweight in the world.

Inactive for almost all of 1942, Dado came back towards the end of that year as a fully-fledged bantam, but reigned on as champion until 14 October 1943, the day the NBA formally decided he could no longer make the weight.
