1943-01-18 [[Jackie Callura]] w pts 15 [[Jackie Wilson]], Arcadia Hall, Providence, Rhode Island, USA - NBA. Referee: Tim Ferrick. Contested in a 16’ ring, it suited Callura (125½), a rough, tough battler, more than it did the 32-year-old Wilson (125¼), who had been out of the ring for more than ten months after breaking a hand, and the challenger certainly made it pay as he swarmed all over the latter from the opening bell.

Callura duly received the unanimous decision.
