1950-08-25 Sugar Ray Robinson w co 1 (15) Jose Basora, The Stadium, Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA - PENN. Referee: Johnny Kelly. Making the first defence of the Pennsylvanian version of the world title, Robinson (154¾) made quick work of Basora (159¾) after setting up an immediate attack from the opening bell. Dropped twice, the second time for ‘nine, Basora was an open target and a couple of left hooks to the head followed by a solid right to the head saw him counted out with just 52 seconds on the clock.
