1961-03-25 [[Eder Jofre]] w rtd 10 (15) [[Piero Rollo]], Botofogo Stadium, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil - NBA. Referee: Jaime Ferreira. The hard-hitting, rangy Jofre (117½) was soon into the action against the aggressive challenger, blocking most of the punches coming his way and getting in some telling blows of his own. Rollo (116½) was badly cut on the left eye in the fifth round and it was all down hill from there. With his right eye also swollen the ninth round was an awful one for Rollo as the Brazilian swarmed all over him and he was justly pulled out by his cornermen immediately after the bell rang to start the tenth session.
