30 May Johnny Caldwell w pts 15 Alphonse Halimi. The Arena, Wembley, London, England - EBU. Referee: Ben Bril. Technically brilliant, Caldwell (116½) was up to everything Halimi (117½), who was cut on the left eye in the second round, could muster and both outboxed and outfought the champion to take a clear points decision from the referee. The last round was chaotic as Halimi went all out for a kayo, only to be met toe-to-toe by Caldwell and dropped for an ‘eight’ count before the bell rang.
