1963-02-19 Denny Moyer w pts 15 Stan Harrington, Honolulu Civic Auditorium, Oahu, Hawaii - WBA. Referee: Louis Freitas. Scorecards: 72-69, 71-69, 74-68. Defending his new title for the first time, Moyer (153½) had to wait a while before getting into his stride as Harrington (150¼) made the early running, especially in the second and fifth rounds when he caught the champion with solid right hands to the chin. However, from thereon he had less success and tired badly from the tenth onwards as Moyer came on strong to win the unanimous decision, but there was not a great deal in it at the final bell.
