4 April Eder Jofre w co 3 (15) Katsutoshi Aoki, Kuramae Arena, Tokyo, Japan - WORLD. Referee: Antonio Ziravello. With Aoki (117¾) going well early on there were no real signs of what was about to happen. However, all that changed in the third round when the challenger was put down heavily from a left hook to the jaw after belting Jofre around the ring while looking to be on the verge of an upset win. Getting up at five, Aoki was a sitting target, being quickly put under the cosh before a crunching left to the body saw him counted out after 2.12 of the session had expired.
