1967-05-25 Raul Rojas w rsc 15 Vicente Derado, Olympic Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, USA - CALIFORNIA. Referee: George Latka. In a battle for the Californian version of the title, Rojas (130) won the honours when the fight was halted with just 12 seconds remaining after Derado (130), badly cut over the left eye, was pulled out of the contest by the referee on the advice of the medical officer. Up to that point the fight had been close, with Rojas, who was cut over the left eye in the 14th, holding a slight lead. It had been a spirited bout with both men having good spells, but neither managing to impose themselves.
