1969-09-07 Shozo Saijyo w co 2 (15) Jose Luis Pimentel, Makomonal Arena, Sapporo, Japan - WBA. Referee: Ken Morita. Retaining his title for the second time, Saiyjo (126) started cautiously enough, as did Pimentel (125½), before landing a hard left hook and chasing his rival around the ring with a two-fisted attack until the bell. Getting away quickly in the second, Saiyjo drove in two hard straight rights to the body and then, after switching his attack to the head, a cracking left hook to the jaw saw Pimentel counted out at 1.29 of the round.
