1969-10-19 Bernabe Villacampo w pts 15 Hiroyuki Ebihara, Prefectural Gym, Tokyo, Japan - WBA. Ken Morita. Scorecards: 71-70, 72-69, 73-66. A tough little body-punching southpaw, Villacampo (112) forged ahead from the seventh round onwards to batter Ebihara (111½) mercilessly at close quarters with short lefts and rights to the jaw. Fighting away from home, the new champion was good value for his win over his fellow southpaw, who was cut over the right eye in the 11th round.
