Having survived a first-round knockdown and a gashed forehead, Ohba (112) came back to kayo Amores (111¼) after two minutes of the fifth. Once the champion had got his boxing going it was always going to be difficult for the Panamanian, who was put down in the second round from straight right. Immediately prior to the finish he was taking heavy blows which ultimately brought about his downfall.
