1974-05-25 [[Rafael Herrera]] w co 6 (15) [[Romeo Anaya]], City Bullring, Mexico City, Mexico - WBC. Referee: Ramon Berumen. Having lost his WBA title Anaya (117) next challenged Herrera (117) for the WBC belt, but despite having a good first round he was under the cosh from thereon and was often backed against the ropes where he was caught with vicious shots to head and body. Smashed to the floor in the sixth, courtesy of a terrific right hand, Anaya was counted out at 2.29 of the round.
