1974-12-07 Victor Galindez w rtd 12 (15) Len Hutchins, Luna Park Stadium, Buenos Aires, Argentina - WBA. Referee: Jesus Celis. In a battle for the vacant WBA title, Galindez (174) proved to be the master of Hutchins (172¼), flooring him for mandatory ‘eight’ counts at the end of the first round and then in the fourth, eighth and 12th. Galindez had his best rounds between the fifth and ninth, when it looked as though Hutchins would crumble, but the American was made of stern stuff and in the tenth and 11th both men slugged it out with either man able to win. The 12th was a tough round for Hutchins and he was battered endlessly before being retired during the interval.
