1977-08-20 Saensak Muangsurin w rsc 6 (15) Mike Everett, Army Stadium, Roi-Et, Thailand - WBC. Referee: Larry Nadayai. Although Muangsurin (140) began slowly, Everett (136¼) failed to take any advantage and once the southpaw champion stepped up the pace in the third the latter started to feel the full weight of his punches. For the next round or so it was much of the same and in the sixth Everett was being hammered without reply when he was rescued by the referee on the 2.50 mark. A clever boxer, Everett just didn’t have the punch to keep Muangsurin at bay and the result was ultimately predictable.
