1978-04-08 [[Saensak Muangsurin]] w co 13 (15) [[Francisco Moreno]], Municipal Stadium, Hat Yai, Thailand - WBC. Referee: Jay Edson. Despite having difficulty in making the weight, Moreno (139) did well at first with snappy hooks and combinations keeping Muangsurin (140) at bay in the early rounds. However, once the challenger began to tire, Muangsurin opened up more and took complete control from the 11th, a round in which Moreno was badly cut on the mouth and left eye. From then on it was just a matter of time and in the 13th a pair of lethal right hooks put Moreno down for the full count with just 20 seconds of the session remaining.
