1978-04-29 [[Antonio Cervantes]] w co 6 (15) [[Tongta Kiatvayupakdi]], Provincial Stadium, Udon, Thailand - WBA. Referee: Jesus Celis. Piling up points with his trusted left jab from the opening bell, Cervantes (140) was soon in control of his hard-hitting southpaw challenger and by the second was beginning to land heavily himself. Forced on the defensive, Kiatvayupakdi (140) was beginning to look slow and awkward as he struggled to avoid the accurate punches coming his way and with blood pouring from his right eye following a solid right hook in the sixth he was ready to be taken. Sensing this was it, Cervantes followed up with two big rights followed by a left hook and Kiatvayupakdi crashed down to be counted out after 2.40 of the round had elapsed.
