1978-11-27 Eusebio Pedroza w pts 15 Enrique Solis, Roberto Clemente Coliseum, San Juan, Puerto Rico - WBA. Referee: Isidro Rodriguez. Scorecards: 147-144, 148-141, 147-145. Never in any real trouble, Pedroza (126) outboxed Solis (125½) most of the way, despite the latter making a difficult target with his bobbing and weaving tactics, and in the fourth he opened up with hard lefts and rights to cut the latter over the right eye. Only occasionally did the challenger rally, although he had much better rounds in the ninth, tenth and 13th when he actually got through Pedroza’s defences with some solid blows to head and body. However, it was too little and not often enough. Although the crowd booed the decision, due to Pedroza appearing to miss with many of his punches, Solis landed with very few quality blows of his own.
