While he lasted Hernandez (122) proved a tough nut to crack, putting up a stubborn and clever struggle to make it into the fifth round, and it was only when Gomez (122) opened up with left hooks to the body that the end was apparent. After three knockdowns the fight was stopped at 2.15 of the session and another brave challenger had bitten the dust.
