1980-07-28 Rafael Orono drew 15 Willie Jensen, New Circus Bullring, Caracas, Venezuela - WBC. Referee: Carlos Guzman. Scorecards: 146-146, 146-146, 147-146. The aggressor throughout, Jensen (115) gave the champion very little room to work in and was most aggrieved not to have won the title when the result was made public at the end of the contest. Orono (114½), way below par, was unable to mount a sustained attack all night and many of those present voiced their disapproval after the announcement. For the record, Jensen would have needed to win by at least two points under WBC rules to have been handed outright victory.
