1980-08-09 Sergio Palma w rsc 5 (15) Leo Randolph, The Coliseum, Spokane, Washington, USA - WBA. Referee: Stan Christodoulou. Attacking from the start, jabs and hooks to the head and body being effective weapons, Palma (121½) inflicted two first-round knockdowns on a champion who appeared fortunate to make it to the bell. Never able to get going, Randolph (122) was again dropped in the fifth following a left-right combination and although he was up at seven the referee, who had seen enough, stopped the bout with 1.48 of the session remaining.
