1980-09-20 Hilmer Kenty w rsc 4 (15) Ernesto Espana, Hiram Bithorn Stadium, San Juan, Puerto Rico - WBA. Marty Denkin. In a return match between the pair Espana (135) came out firing on both cylinders, but when the champion withstood the attacks and came back with heavy blows of his own towards the end of the first round the writing was on the wall. Setting a very fast pace and happy to trade punches Kenty (135) gave his opponent a serious beating, and although he had not put Espana down, with the latter being hammered against the ropes taking lefts and rights to the head the referee brought matters to a halt At the finish there were just three seconds of the fourth session remaining.
